The Piano Dad’s Review
This duet piano bench from Yaheetech is almost 30 inches long which is more than long enough to accommodate two people comfortably.
This bench features a classic black, glossy finish with a faux leather upper, which will match with almost any decor. It can blend in with an elegant, classic room yet still would not look out of place in a more modern setting.
Sturdy and Durable
The bench is made from wood and MDF and supports users up to 440lb!
This means that it is great for a single larger musician or for most dueters. The legs look small but they are surprisingly strong. I had no issues when using the bench.
The height is not adjustable though but that is not unusual for this design. The bench is tall enough for most users. Shorter users might be more comfortable with a footrest.
Easy to Care For
The faux leather seat is a nice touch because it is spill-resistant and easy to wipe clean.
I’ve found this feature to be useful when playing with my daughter who likes to sneak in juice boxes! The legs simply wipe clean as well.
The under-seat storage area is quite spacious.
Traditionally, it would be used for storing sheet music, but it could also house recorders, flutes, and other small wind instruments as well as cleaning cloths, etc.
It’s a nice option for keeping the music room clutter-free.
A Great Price
What makes this seat particularly appealing is the price.
While it is a duet seat, it is priced similarly to many single models. You are not sacrificing on build quality either.
The hinges on the model that I tested were a little loose upon delivery but that was nothing I couldn’t fix in a few moments with a screwdriver.
Overall, I have no complaints about the appearance or quality of the bench. Or its comfort.
Yaheetech Duet Piano Bench with Storage
- Comfortable seat with high-density foam padding
- Robust legs can take a lot of weight
- The perfect height for most people
- Spacious storage area
- The faux leather top can feel warm if you sit on it for a long time
- The hinges on the seat top are delicate
Sturdy but affordable duet benches can be difficult to find. But I was very impressed with this one. It is the perfect size, the storage area is a nice touch, and it supports 440 lbs as well!
