Bonnlo Adjustable Duet Piano Bench with Storage
The Piano Dad’s Review
Bonnlo has managed to do something that a lot of piano bench manufacturers fail at.
They have created a fully adjustable bench that still has the look and feel of a classic piano bench.
You can comfortably sit this in front of your antique piano and you won’t feel like the design styles are clashing.
The mechanism for raising or lowering the bench also sits between the frame and the cushion. It blends right in until you need to use it.
Incredibly Affordable Piano Bench
What’s more surprising is the fact that they can sell this bench for such a low price.
It has some of the same materials and features that you’ll find in benches costing twice as much. That includes high-quality wood, comfortable cushions, long-lasting padding, a storage compartment. And, the adjustable height mechanism.
Some money was saved by opting to use a faux leather padding on the cushion instead of genuine leather. Which of the two is actually better often comes down to preference.
Faux leather is easy to clean and maintain while only costing a fraction of the price. In reality, the average person won’t even be able to tell the difference between the two when they see the bench at your home.
Shallow Storage Though
The storage compartment is located beneath the cushion and is held open with a locking mechanism. It only has a depth of around 1.5 inches.
That’s enough to store music sheets but not any additional accessories or larger piano books.
Quick Height Adjustment is a Plus
On the side of the bench is a knob that controls the height mechanism.
It’s as simple as turning the knob to adjust the bench to the change the height.
You then return the bench to its normal position when you aren’t using it and it fits right in with the rest of the decor.
The bench is surprisingly comfortable as long as you enjoy thick, plush cushions. And, who doesn’t, really? 🙂
Bonnlo Adjustable Piano Bench
- Height is easily adjusted by turning a knob
- Faux leather padding is waterproof and easy to maintain
- Very sturdy with a high weight capacity
- Classic piano bench appearance thanks to concealed height mechanism
- Thick cushions are comfortable during long sessions
- The storage compartment isn’t deep enough for accessories or instruments
This bench is about as close to perfect as you can get in this price range. It’s comfortable, has a classic appearance, is very sturdy, and is easily adjustable.
The only way this bench could be improved is if the storage compartment was slightly deeper.
